Simplicity
How come these days, everybody is so materialistic? Whatever happened to enjoying the simple things, like the smell of fresh baked bread or a night just talking with your friends? These small things can bring us just as much joy as a new car for our 16th birthdays, or a bigger tv.
I consider everybody these days to be fairly materialistic, even myself. I asked for an iPod nano this Christmas, which I got, and am thankful for. I admit, however, that it's not exactly something I needed really bad, it's just something I wanted. However, when I put my iPod on and play a good ol' Mötley Crüe song with Mick Mars making that guitar scream, I can't help but throw my hair around and dance.
To be honest, I'm getting quite annoyed with the way kids are acting as far as getting things they want goes. I was roaming around piczo looking at peoples' websites, and I saw one young girl, younger than me, who had a list a mile long, and the things weren't cheap either. Her list consisted of things such as a Prada bag, Juicy Coture clothing, and many other things that had a large price tag. It really got on my nerves of some child to ask her parents for those kinds of things.
I understand want, because everyone experiences it obviously. Just keep yourself under control and get back to the little things, like cookies straight out of the oven while the chocolate chips are still warm.
